Balkrishna, the head of Patanjali Yogpeeth and a close aide to Baba Ramdev was admitted to AIMS in Rishikesh after having complained of chest pain and giddiness.
He was admitted in the ICU around 4.15 pm on Friday, AIIMS Medical Superintendent Brahmaprakash told reporters.
Balkrishna was admitted in a state of “altered consciousness”, a medical condition in which the patient fails to recognize his immediate surroundings.
“Some tests have been done which show that his vital parameters are normal. However, some reports are still awaited. He is under the observation of a specialist team and we will get to know about his health soon,” the spokesperson at AIMS told the reporters.
