Paytm bags sponsorship for BCCI’s International & Domestic Matches

One 97 Communications (Paytm) has acquired the sponsorship rights for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) International and Domestic matches, BCCI announced the news on Wednesday.

To own the sponsorship rights of the 2019-23 home season, Paytm rolled out a whopping INR 326.80 crores. The winning bid of 3.80 crores per match was 58 per cent more than the previous per match value of Rs 2.4 Crores. The Noida based eCommerce and mobile wallet company acquired the BCCI sponsorship rights second time in a row.

The rights include sponsor branding of the entire series with the title sponsor logo, visibility at the stadium, and broadcast sponsorship rights among other offerings.

BCCI’s CEO Rahul Johari was noted saying “Paytm is one of the new generation companies of India and we at the BCCI are proud of Paytm continuing its long-standing commitment with Indian Cricket.”
